We've celebrated so many things at this wonderful place, from birthdays and anniversaries to holidays and plenty of spur of the moment, just-because outings. There are lots of amazing Madonna Inn memories we have made so it's hard to narrow down, but here are a few of the most special with photos attached...

My favorite room will forever be the Carin - before I had stayed there it was always my dream to stay in that room one day. After having a pretty rough and emotional day, my now-husband Shane texted me to bring a bathing suit and that we were going out for drinks and hot tubbing. It was a little vague, and I assumed we would be heading to the Elks Club. We ended up at the Madonna Inn instead, and as we parked I realized we must actually be staying at the Inn. We went up a staircase and arrived at the door of the Carin and I immediately teared up. I still wasn't sure of what was about to happen, I was just so touched that he booked my dream room. Once we walked in, I saw that Shane had set the room up with roses, champagne, a self portrait painting I had gifted to him, and some of our well loved vintage paper ephemera. He got down on one knee and proposed as he gave me the most beautiful atomic starburst ring. Of course we were both crying happy tears, and of course I said yes! We celebrated with a relaxing time in the hot tub, and a lovely dinner at the steakhouse. We still have our pink "congratulations" balloon, our champagne bottle, and a few other treasures from our amazing experience. Now we celebrate our engageaversary every year with cocktails at the beloved Silver Bar!

My two wonderful friends Martina and Melissa threw me a mermaid bachelorette party and we stayed in the Fabulous Fifties room (probably my second favorite room; I live a rather pastel life). They decorated everything in super cute mermaid style and we had mermaid drinks and snacks. I brought my giant inflatable clamshell and was hoping to take it to the pool but it wouldn't fit in the car. So one of the funniest parts of our stay was all of us carrying the clamshell up the steep hill to the pool and battling winds while trying to keep it from flying away. Once we reached the top we found out we couldn't put inflatables in the pool, so we did a mini poolside photoshoot instead. We even serendipitously caught a mermaid fin in one of the photos, in the water on the left side of the shell! After some fun merlady time in the hot tub, we brought the shell back to the room and I actually slept in it... surprisingly comfy! Mermaid dreams came true thanks to my sweet friends!

I dressed up as the Madonna Inn for Halloween a few years ago! I wore a vintage pink and gold sparkly dress, made a flower crown headpiece featuring the gold cherub from the Carin room, and carried my Madonna Inn ice bucket and the teal goblet my parents have had for many years (that's definitely my favorite color goblet but I'm not sure if it's still made). One of my all time favorite costumes!

Thank you for so many incredible memories and for giving us the opportunity to relive them! Can't wait to create many more!
