Years ago, the Madonna Inn was home to a very special
guest...a Plains Buffalo. Travelers would come from near & far just to catch a glimpse of this magnificent animal. In remembrance
of the days when he freely roamed our grounds, we have given him a place of honor in the “Buffalo Room.” The whispering
grass-green wall coverings and four poster queen bed crafted from woven tree branches create a pastoral backdrop. Set against
the mountain, this rustic and restful setting reflects life on the frontier, but with all the comforts of home. Located on the
3rd level of the hilltop unit, this room has a queen bed and bathroom with 2 pedestal sinks and shower only.
